Kevin is the last imprisoned political prisoner of the SHAC 7.  The SHAC 7 are 6 animal rights activists and the organization Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty USA (SHAC USA) who were convicted on March 2, 2006, under the controversial Federal Animal Enterprise Protection Act. The Act punishes anyone who “physically disrupts” an animal enterprise. The charges stem from these activists’ alleged participation in an international campaign to close the notorious product testing lab Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Kevin started his six year sentence on November 16, 2006, convicted for Conspiracy to violate the Animal Enterprise Protection Act, Conspiracy to Stalk, three counts of Interstate Stalking, Conspiracy to Harass using a Telecommunications Device.

Personal Background

Kevin is a prominent animal rights activist who worked on many animal rights campaigns and projects including the SOAR primate research campaign, he helped establish vegan college dining halls, worked on fur campaigns and the campaign to close Huntingdon Life Sciences.

His interests include 20th century art, dogs, Spain, cooking, reading (memoirs, politics and the environment), and spending time with his dog Willie.
